Urban Music Group News Release
Urban Music Group recording artist Rachel Brown understands the significance of the proverbial saying, “to whom much is given, much is expected.” That is why Brown, whose debut single reached #1 on the Billboard R&B singles sales chart, will donate a $250 Visa gift card to a special family this Christmas season in hopes of brightening their holiday.
Brown wants her “Every Little Bit Helps” campaign to bring holiday cheer to a family that otherwise wouldn’t be able to celebrate a nice traditional Christmas celebration. “Being with your family is wonderful during the holiday season,” states the chart topping singer. But for some families, being together and not being able to enjoy a nice traditional holiday meal or to have gifts for the children to open can dampen the holiday spirit. That’s why I wanted to do something, even if it’s a small amount, because with the economy the way it is right now I do believe every little bit helps.”
Through her website blog, Brown is asking all of her fans from across the nation to recommend families that are in need. She has a special committee that will read through the nominations and select the family with the most compelling story and present them with the Visa gift card on December 15th.
“I’ve been blessed this year,” states Brown. “I recorded and released my first CD, which was a dream come true for me. I was blessed to have a song that went #1 on the singles sales chart. I’ve been able to pursue my dreams full time, and I’ve got wonderful fans that have supported me along the way. So, I’m truly fortunate. Now, I want to give something back. I want to bless someone, just as I have been blessed. Most of all, I hope I can inspire someone to do the same, no matter how big or small because every little bit does help. I think that is what the spirit of Christmas is all about.”
Would you like to suggest a family that can use some assistance this holiday season? Visit Rachel’s website at www.rachelbrownlive.com to submit their story.
Brown is a up and coming R&B singer/songwriter that has been lauded for the positive messages she delivers through her music। Her critically acclaimed debut CD entitled “Love, Life & Relationships” spawned the hit single “Let’s Fall In Love Again,” which rose to #1 on the Billboard R&B Singles Sales Chart in 2007।

Young student will not receive Christmas presents this year...his mother is a single parent, (with no child support) full time student, and is barely making the remaining payments on the tuition (this young man was awarded an 88% scholarship).....the young man from Palm City, FL. is attending Interlochen Academy of the Arts Camp, the world’s premier Boarding School for aspiring artists grades 9 through 12. He will continue his studies in Trumpet at the at the Academy.
He completed his a junior year at Martin County High School, and had been the lead trumpet with the award-winning “Tiger Regiment” and Martin County High School Symphonic Wind Band. He had also performed with the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony in Stuart, and the New Gardens Band in Palm Beach Gardens. He was also very grateful to the MSJ Artist’s Series at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City for their award of a Scholarship as well as one from the New Gardens Band to attend the Interlochen Camp. The young man’s very own Treasure Coast Youth Brass Quintet has also been featured on the “Young Artist’s Spotlight” on NPR, local station WCQS.
Without spending money, or the ability to dress like the other affluent students in the school, the young man has still settled in to his new home for his senior year of High School, he is looking forward to auditioning for such prestigious Conservatories and Colleges such as; Julliard, Oberlin Conservatory, University of Miami Music Department and has also been invited to submit an audition to schools as far away as Holland! Although he wishes to extend his appreciation to all of the organizations and private donors that have generously supported this amazing opportunity, he has resigned himself that he will not be recieving anything for Christmas. For more information how you too, might support the efforts of this talented and dedicated young man, please contact:

There is a very beautiful family in Miami. The mother and father are deaf. They have two daughters, a 16 year old who is hearing, and a 7 year old who is also deaf. In late September the mother suffered a massive stroke and has not fully recovered. To add on to the burden of being deaf, she is now unable to work to help support her family. She is currently in a rehabilitation hospital being taught to use her limbs again. Of course being deaf, the inability to use one of her hands and arms has of course hindered her comunication skills because now she is unable to use her sign language skills to the fullest extent. Even before her illness, she and her husband were barely sustaining financially. But they are both hard working christians and have a strong family unit. I am sure it would be a great blessing to the father to recieve an unexpected financial gift to help them during the holidays and for such a tramatic time in their lives. Please consider the Collins family for your adopted family. God bless you for wanting to be a blessing to others.
Please help My best friends family... if it is not too late.
My neighbor and best frind is 16 as I am too.
welll their Father is well lets put it niceley, is baisically a loser, he does not have a job and has not had one for a while, and does nothing to look for one, instead he sits at home and does absolutly nothing, he sold his car for ciggarette money, and some food money and other things he enjoys, my best friend being 16 does everything, their mother died in 2003 of cancer. She cooks, cleans and still manages to take care of her 3 siblings and go to school.
They are a no income family, they have not had a real christmas since their mother passed away.
They need help in the biggest way.
They will have no christmas presents at all
there are 4 children
Alex being the oldest is 16- female
Nikki & Brianna twins- 14 female
Steven 11 male
I would love to be able to put a smile on her face this christmas, she deserves it so much.
The Fabits family is extremely deserving, the children are never able to do anything, our family helps them as much as we can but certainly not able to give them the things they need.
Please help this family,
alex has tried to save up any money she can for the family but everytime she saves up the money her dadt takes it and spends on things he needs,
I am terrified to think that the kids will be taken and put into a foster home where they will be split up.
Please Rachel help this family, they need it so much.
They have no unemployment, no food stamps, no nothing.
they can't afford to pay the rent, of any bills for that matter
please help them.
