Me Time!

Finding time to take care of yourself is a great thing! A nice pedicure, manicure, facial, or massage can be very relaxing and therapeutic...but can also get expensive and costly....Taking the time to take a nice bubble bath, a walk in the neighborhood, exercise, prayer/meditation, reading a book are examples of ways that you can relax for a very minimal fee and most are free....however you do it...be sure to take some me time...you'll be surprised at how much better you'll feel and how much longer you'll live letting go of the stresses of everyday life!

Schedule your me time today!
Luv Ya...

Never Allow Anyone To Take Your Dream Away From You!

I was sitting thinking about a question that I'm asked continuously in most interviews....as a new artist most of us are asked this question "What seperates you from other singers/artists in the music industry?"

Now that's something that you don't always think about as a singer/artist until it's brought to your attention! Most of us start to do things because you love doing it! But for me, pondering that question for a while now, I began to think it's the "Desire, Passion, Determination, and Teamwork!"

To make it you have to have these things because if you don't you can never stand! It's a constant hustle...The challenges are ongoing and constant...Whatever it is that you desire to do if you love it enough keep chasing it...never allow anyone to take your dream away from you! It's yours TAKE IT BY FORCE!!

Let's do this!

Loss

Someone reminded me of something very valuable and it couldn't have come at a better time than now cause it's the anniversary of my Moms home going. I mentioned that I lost my Mom a year ago July 1st, but I was quickly reminded that no one is ever lost as long as their memory is kept alive and we hold them dear and near to our hearts.

This has helped me and I hope it helps any of you that may have a loved one that's no longer physically present in your life!

God Bless U...

Welcome To Miami King James!

What I wonderful surprise...Lebron "King James" is coming to Miami!! Oh Happy Day!!

I've always selected players to be a fan of in basketball as opposed to cheering for teams...before LeBron came on the scene I was searching for a player to attach myself to because I was still a Michael Jordan fan and hadn't found anyone to fill his shoes...then LeBron came along and became MY MAN in the basketball world...my heart goes out to the folks in Cleveland...cause I was a fan...don't be so bitter that we forget what he brought to the franchise for 7 years! I was a fan too...but.... I've gotta follow The King...

Welcome to Miami "King James"....won't regret u came...I never have!!!! :-)

GO HEAT!!!

The Music Biz; Out With The Old, In With The New?

It seems as thought the music business is beginning to undergo a radical change. As an independent artist it's really challenging to break into mainstream media such as commercial radio, mainstream press, and television. Thanks to the internet however, we indies still have a few options. The web has allowed us to connect with fans and supporters of our music in ways we never have before. It makes the world smaller.

The internet has become a game changer. It has changed the way we consume music, both purchasing and listening. With that said, I wonder if the future of the business will have any resemblance to brick and mortar stores, and radio and video being the main way an artist will break?

Will physical distribution be the best way to get your music to the masses, or will digital distribution become what really matters? Will radio and video remain the primary way to market and promote, or will internet radio and youtube prove to be the way to go?

Your thoughts?

How Can I Not Love What I Do?

Just this month, I will have gone to New York City and The Bahamas...to do what I love to do.... SANG! I can remember watching the football players saying on TV they get to play the game they love the most and they can't believe they get paid for it. I think that's how I feel sometimes. I get to travel and go to all these great places, and I get paid to do it.

Time for me to step aside and continue to count my blessings.

:-)

Thank You GOD!

Love,
RB

I'll be setting off a few fireworks of my own this weekend, but not literally of course. On stage at Calder Casino in North Miami on Friday and at Ilio's on Ft. Lauderdale Beach (@ The Ft. Lauderdale Hilton) on Saturday. It's a busy weekend, but I enjoy the work of course, and I enjoy singing for those that come out to support me. If your in the area, stop by and check me out. And be sure you stop by to say hello in between sets!

Peace & Luv!

If You Lost Your Mom Today....

Just wanted to tell all my fans...friends...and family Mothers Day is coming soon and if you're fortunate to still have your Mom here with you take the time to appreciate her! Let her know how much she means to you and that u appreciate what she's done for you.

My Mom left this earth July 1...and knowing that I know she knew how much I loved her cause I told her and showed her helps me to deal with her loss!

Ask yourself this question; If u lost your Mom today have u told her everything u want her to know? Have you spent quality time with her lately? If no...do it now while u still have a chance!

God Bless Ya!

The Music Business!

The music business!

Wow! What an adventure! I tell u...it's one of those things that u say, “well all I wanna do is sing...I didn't sign up for all the other stuff that goes along with it.” But then u look around and see other folks doing things they didn't sign up for and it makes u think well if they can do it so can I.

You gotta always consider others, have ur moment, and keep the bus movin.

"Activate or stagnate" says Gregory Griffith!

It's time to activate cause stagnating is not an option!
